The Raw Power Centrifuges have been a mainstay of the waste oil cleaning community for years. We’ve established ourselves as the leader with quality, delivery time and service. We are pleased to say that our centrifuges have also been widely adopted by the algae community. High School Science Clubs, University Labs and Large R&D Firms have found our centrifuges to be affordable and effective for harvesting algae mass from water. Smaller school labs are purchasing the Extreme Centrifuge, while universities and Labs have been purchasing our Beast Centrifuge.
While the solid bowl centrifuges have been working excellent at harvesting small batches, we felt that we could address the needs of algae harvesting more specifically with a perforated basket centrifuge. The centrifuges work very much like our solid bowl centrifuges except the bowl is perforated with hundreds of holes and a filter bag is placed inside as a liner. The feedstock is fed into the bowl /filter bag and the liquid passes through leaving the solids trapped in the filter bag for easy removal.
These are batch processors, meaning you add a batch of feedstock to the bowl and run it until you have reached the desired dryness of the cake. The bag with the cake is then removed and a new bag is replaced for the next batch. The bags can be re-used unless damaged.
We also have access to peeler centrifuges for continuous operation. The whole batch process is automated and solids are scraped from the walls and ejected out of the lid while the unit runs controlled by PLC. You can contact us for quote on these, prices start around 50K USD.
The mixture is fed into the rotor from the top feed port in the lid. Clear liquid can exit the rotor through the retractable skimmer or can overflow the bowl and drain out the bottom port. In addition, drain plugs are located in the bottom of the rotor for self draining.
We’ll back these centrifuges up with our amazing guarantee. You have 30 days to put it to the test. If it doesn’t work for you, we will take it back. See our complete warranty policy here.
