Tips for Disposing of Sludge and Unusable Oil
- Please think twice about dumping it.
- Local Hazmat centers will take the garbage WVO in 5 gallon containers.
- Many accept only 15gallons at a time due to transport laws.
- Make sure you say it is from personal use, otherwise there is likely to be a fee.
Places to take the waste oil:
You may also try Biodiesel or other Grease Renderers. Sometimes Biodiesel folks can use and refine the stuff WVO burners can’t.
Note – Gardens do not like much waste vegetable oil. It will suffocate roots and possibly make the soil more Basic.
