The Dodge Trucks lend themselves nicely to running on WVO. Robust engines and lift and injection pumps(Bosch P7100) make them some of the most tolerant machines for running WVO. There are a few popular ways to convert this truck. One way is to use the stock lift pump to pull the fuel through the veg and diesel side. This is the first configuration diagram below. Benefits are simplicity and reduced cost.
Another way is to add 3 valves and place the filters after the lift pump, pressurizing the fuel as it goes through the filters. This is the second diagram.
A third way is to add 2 electric fuel pump, on on each fuel side, to assist the lift pump and pressurize the sytem. This is the most costly conversion as you need to buy 2 extra pumps.
- Injector drain line to the top of the stock diesel filter must be plugged and routed to the IP fuel return line so as not to contaminate the diesel filter with SVO.
